follows Jesus, equips disciples, and advances the Kingdom in Toledo and the surrounding region.
What an exciting time! It’s always exciting when God does something new. It’s even more exciting when we can be a part of what He is doing. WE INVITE YOU TO BE A PART of this exciting work.
Neighborhood Lighthouse
Acts 2:46 “they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house.” A Neighborhood Lighthouse is a place to learn about Biblical topics without the weight of religion. It’s a safe place to invite neighbors, friends and family to learn about topics such as:
GOD
JESUS
SALVATION
ETERNITY AND MORE….
Outreach Opportunities
While the word “outreach” is not found in the Bible Jesus clearly believed in it. In Luke 4:18 we find in His very own words He was all about outreach. “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free”. We want Church On The East to be anointed by God! We clearly see in this passage that the anointing is present when there is outreach. There are already outreach opportunities within Church On The East! One current opportunity is while the nice weather lasts we visit parks and hand out water. We want the community to know we are here. However we want them to know we are here “for them”. As we grow, our focus will be on developing outreach ministries that impact the community.
Community Blitz
Our Community Blitz is an exciting time when we go into the community and watch God radically transform the lives of people in the community. Here are some things that happen during the Community Blitz:
–The Community realizes our presence
–We learn the needs of the community
–We create opportunities to pray for others
–We learn the spiritual condition of the community
–We get to share Jesus!
